Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before booking your East Africa adventure.
What is the best time to visit Tanzania?
▼
The best time for wildlife safaris is during the dry seasons: January–March and June–October. The Great Migration in Serengeti peaks June–September. For Kilimanjaro climbs, January–March and June–October offer the best conditions.
Do I need travel insurance?
▼
Yes, travel insurance is strongly recommended and required for Kilimanjaro climbs. Your policy should cover medical evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal liability. We recommend purchasing a policy that includes adventure activities.
Do I need a visa to visit Tanzania?
▼
Most nationalities require a visa. You can apply for an e-Visa at eservices.immigration.go.tz before departure. US, UK, EU, and most other passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival. Please check current requirements for your nationality.
What vaccinations do I need?
▼
Yellow Fever vaccination is required if travelling from an endemic country. We recommend consulting your doctor about malaria prophylaxis, hepatitis A, typhoid, and tetanus. Check with your local travel health clinic 6–8 weeks before departure.
How do I book a tour with Enaidurra Africa?
▼
Simply fill in our booking form or contact us via WhatsApp or email. Our Arusha-based team will respond within 24 hours with availability and a personalised quote. No booking fee until you confirm.
What currency should I bring to Tanzania?
▼
The Tanzanian Shilling (TZS) is the local currency. US Dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas. ATMs are available in Arusha and major towns. We recommend bringing a mix of USD cash and having a card as backup.
What is the group size for your safaris?
▼
Our standard safaris use 4x4 Land Cruisers with a maximum of 6 passengers per vehicle. We also offer private vehicles for a more exclusive experience. Group size varies by package — ask us for details.
Can I customise my itinerary?
▼
Absolutely. All our tours can be fully customised. Use our interactive trip planner on the Services page to build your own itinerary, or simply tell us your dates, interests, and budget and we'll create something bespoke.
What is your cancellation policy?
▼
Cancellations more than 60 days before departure receive a full refund minus a small admin fee. 30–60 days: 50% refund. Less than 30 days: no refund. We recommend travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations.
Are your guides certified?
▼
Yes. All our guides are fully licensed by the Tanzania Tourist Board and have years of field experience. Our Kilimanjaro guides hold advanced wilderness first aid certifications. We conduct regular training to maintain the highest standards.
What should I pack for a safari?
▼
Light, neutral-coloured clothing (khaki, beige, olive), comfortable walking shoes, a sun hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, and a camera. We provide a full packing list after booking.
Is Tanzania safe for tourists?
▼
Tanzania is one of Africa's most stable and welcoming destinations. Arusha is safe for tourists. As with all travel, normal precautions apply. Our team monitors conditions and will advise you on any considerations relevant to your trip dates.
