Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park is nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment in northern Tanzania with a more dense forest vegetation around the Lake Manyara, a soda lake. Surrounding the lake are lush groundwater forests, open grasslands, and acacia woodlands, supporting a rich mix of habitats for large troops of baboons, elephants, hippos and diverse birdlife. Though compact in size, it offers an impressive variety of landscapes and wildlife.
